Accused of robbing currency dealer held

Capital City Police Saturday arrested three alleged robbers for snatching millions of rupees at gun point from a currency dealer. According to police, the currency dealer hailing from district Swat was going to his home town after exchanging currency from Chowk Yadgar, currency market when at Gulbahar area the armed accused snatched the amount from him. During the initial investigation, the accused had confessed the crime of snatching cash from the currency dealer.
Later, on the pinpointing an amount of Rs2.6m was recovered from the possession of the accused. The complainant Omar Ali resident of Swat had told Gulbahar Police Station that he was going back to his home town after exchanging currency at Chowk Yadgar when some veiled gunmen snatched an amount of over Rs30m in cash from him near TTC Gulbahar and managed escape.
