607 bags of betel nuts recovered from Lyari

Model Customs Collectorate (MCC), Preventive on Friday claimed to have recovered 607 bags of betel nuts worth Rs 7.4 million from Lyari area. According to details, the action was taken on a tip-off, which revealed that substantial quantity of betel nuts were dumped in the residential area of Lyari. Reacting on this information, the preventive staff conducted a raid at the place and recovered 607 bags of betel nuts worth Rs 7.4m. Consequent upon recovery, the case is being registered and further investigation was under way.
