Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman has said his party will not make alliance with any party after winning elections. He tried to rule out the possibility of PPP's coalition with others in his interview with Aaj News programme Faisla Aap Ka's anchorperson Asma Shirazi that was aired on Friday. It was his first interview since he together with his father Asif Ali Zardari made public PPP manifesto.
Bilawal defended Zardari's politics of reconciliation, saying that approach was necessary for sorting out problems but he noted that efforts were made to malign the reconciliatory politics.
"PPP advised Nawaz Sharif to refrain from politics of confrontation," he said, lamenting that PML-N supreme and his party always hoodwinked them. He said N-League (PML-N) cheats and Imran Khan's PTI takes U-turn. He said he and his party had ideological differences with PML-N and PTI leaderships.
Bilawal said her mother Benazir Bhutto's death was a great loss and the country's foundation was shaken but they worked for the restoration of democracy and took down the dictator.
He said was ready to fight long war. He said there have been conspiracies against PPP but he accepts challenges since he is the only son of Benazir Bhutto. He said there were people who had been calling PPP has turned into party of Asif Zardari but he asserted now PPP is party of Bilawal. He said it is his first election and now PPP would perform better than it did in 2013 general election.
"Once PPP secures majority votes in the elections, then the party will decide who will become the Prime Minister," he said, implying that the party could recommend him or his father Asif Zardari for this slot.
Though he brushed aside the possibility of electoral alliance, he vowed to continue to work with those who help PPP implement its manifesto for Election 2018.
