On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,511. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 6.679 billion and the number of lots traded was 9,954.
Major business was contributed by platinum amounting to PKR 1.392 billion, followed by WTI crude oil PKR 1.143 billion, NSDQ100 PKR 1.019 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 896.349 million, gold PKR 828.245 million, silver PKR 815.212 million, DJ PKR 174.103 million, copper PKR 170.415 million, SP500 PKR 145.167 million, natural gas PKR 72.666 million and Brent crude oil PKR 22.305 million. In agriculture 7 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 8.195 million were traded.
