Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) has so far received over 3000 applications from candidates across the country desirous to contest the national assembly seat election from various parts of the country on the PML-N ticket, it has been learnt. The candidates have submitted their applications in the PML-N Secretariat along with bank draft of Rs 60,000.
The sources claim that over 6000 applications have also been received from candidates desirous to contest the provincial assembly election on the PML-N ticket. Each candidate has attached bank draft of Rs 30,000 with application. Moreover, the PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif has constituted the party's parliamentary board to award tickets to candidates for general polls 2018.
Shahbaz Sharif has issued notification of the board which is comprised of Raja Zafarul Haq, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Maryam Nawaz, Hamza Shahbaz, Ahsan Iqbal, Khawaja Asif, Rana Tanveer, Mohammad Pervaiz Malik, Rana Sanaullah, Begum Ishrat Ashraf, Raja Ashfaque Sarwar and others. The parliamentary board will conduct interviews of candidates seeking to contest general polls 2018 on PML-N's ticket.
