The Punjab Assembly passed 12 bills on Wednesday while The Punjab Fertilizers Bill 2018 was introduced in the House. The bills which were passed include The Drugs (Punjab Amendment) Bill 2018, The Punjab Agricultural Marketing Regulatory Authority Bill 2018, The Punjab Legal Aid Bill 2018, The Punjab Criminal Prosecution Services Inspectorate Bill 2018, The Punjab Witness Protection Bill 2018, The Punjab Government Servants Housing Foundation (Amendment ) Bill 2018, The Punjab University of Technology Rasul Bill 2018, The Punjab Bonded Labour System (Abolition) Amendment Bill 2018, The Explosives Substances (Punjab Amendment) Bill 2018, The Registration (Punjab Amendment) Bill 2018, The Registration (Punjab Second Amendment) Bill 2018 and The Punjab Land Revenue (Amendment) Bill 2018.
However, The Punjab Fertilizers Bill 2018 was introduced in the House. The session started around three hours late due to loadshedding. Speaking on a point of order, opposition leader in the Punjab Assembly Mian Mahmood-ur-Rasheed said it happened for the first time in the history of Punjab Assembly that bells were not rung for fulfilling of the quorum due to outages and unfortunately there was no backup of electricity. He said all the claims of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif of ending load shedding were just hollow slogans.
