For financial close of year 2017-18, Sindh government has fixed June 11, 2018 cut-off date for receipt of fresh bills and sanctions by directing the accounting officers across the province to follow the guidelines. Provincial government formulated the policy guidelines for the financial closing of year 2017-18 in consultation with the Accountant General Sind office and circulated the guidelines through a notification on May 15, 2018.
It directed that after 11th June 2018, no fresh bill, sanction and claim would be accepted by fixing June 22, 2018 cut-off date for endorsement of cheques.
Provincial government announced that only utility bills and personal claims including salary, pension and GP Funds would be accepted by June 25, 2018.
Provincial government directed the treasury officer, Karachi and district accounting officers not to endorse assignment account cheques after June 22, 2018 and the last cheque of each assignment account endorsed must be communicated to Finance Department and Accountant General Office Sindh by June 23, 2018.
