Federal Minister for Finance Miftah Ismail would today (Tuesday) wind up general debate on Budget 2018-19 in the National Assembly and members of the House would discuss Rs 23.7 trillion charge expenditure included in demands for grants and appropriation for financial year ending on June 30, 2019.
According to documents of charge expenditure in demands for grants and appropriations, there is a total of Rs 21.13 trillion of repayment of domestic debt, Rs 1.39 trillion of servicing of domestic debt, Rs 229.23 billion servicing of foreign debt, Rs 171.87 billion of external development loans and advances by the federal government, Rs 174.16 billion of repayment of short term foreign credits, Rs 601.75 billion foreign loans repayment and Rs 14 billion of grants-in-aid and miscellaneous adjustments between the federal and provincial governments.
Likewise, a total of Rs 1 billion of charge expenditure of Pakistan Railways, Rs 1.75 billion of National Assembly, Rs 1.7 billion of the Senate, Rs 4.633 billion of audit, Rs 2.53 billion for elections, Rs 1 billion of staff, household and allowances of the Presidency, Rs 1.96 billion of Supreme Court of Pakistan, Rs 3.87 billion for superannuation allowances and pensions, Rs 150 million of other expenditure of foreign affairs division, Rs 7.7 million of civil works, Rs 236.3 million of other expenditure of law and justice and justice division, Rs 22.4 million of Pakistan Post office department, Rs 527 million of Islamabad High Court, Rs 722 million of Wafaqi Mohtasib and Rs 243 million of federal tax ombudsman.
