On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,471. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at 8.985 billion and the number of lots traded was 13,167.
Major business was contributed by currencies through COTS amounting to PKR 3.339 billion, followed by gold PKR 2.778 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 1.651 billion, platinum PKR 341.966 million, DJ PKR 279.276 million, NSDQ100 PKR 210.237 million, silver PKR 161.576 million, natural gas PKR 97.998 million, copper PKR 61.507 million, SP500 PKR 37.922 million and Brent PKR 25.525 million. In agricultural commodities, 147lots of cotton amounting to PKR 76.342 million were traded.
