The Information Secretary Pakistan Peoples Party Sindh Aajiz Dhamra has refuted the allegation of misappropriation of Rs 90 billion in Larkana Development Package and said that if anyone has evidences against corruption of MNA Faryal Talpur, the same should be produced to public.
Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, he said that the government had allocated Rs 40 billion instead of Rs 90 billion under Larkana Development Package which included the construction of roads and tenders were granted to National Highway Authority. Besides, the construction of government buildings was also included in the said package.
He regretted that baseless propaganda was launched against MNA Faryal Talpur and her husband Mir Munawar Talpur. The NAB had failed to prove any evidence of corruption against Mir Munawar Talpur, he said that PPP is a democratic party and it always welcomed the elimination of corruptions.
He, however, regretted over one sided action of NAB against PPP leaders and minister of provincial PPP government of Sindh adding that no action of NAB witnessed in KPK and Punjab. He said that PPP has no objection on the unity of the factions of MQM but it would not allow any conspiracy to disturb the law and order situation in Karachi on the basis of politics of language. The PPP is organizing another big public meeting in Karachi on May 12 which will be attended largely by the citizens of Karachi.
