Political parties gear up for elections

While the tenure of the PML-N government is finishing on May 31, different political parties are geared up to get a head start in their election campaigns for 2018 general elections. On Sunday, different political parties including the Pakistani Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Pakistan People's Party (PPP), Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA), Awami National Party (ANP) and Qaumi Watan Party held public rallies to unfold their programmes.
With the slogan of "dou nahi, aik Pakistan" and new party songs, the PTI showed its political strength as it held public meeting at the historic Minar-e-Pakistan Lahore in which caravans from all over the country participated.
