The Punjab Assembly on Friday passed The Punjab (Regularization of Service) Bill 2018 and presented the bill on The Punjab Sound Systems Regulation (Amendment) Ordinance 2018 besides seven other bills. The government rejected all the recommendations of the opposition. The opposition pointed out the quorum for three times but the treasury benches maintain the same. The answers relating to the questions of housing and urban development were answered by Minster Tanveer Aslam.
While speaking on a point of order, PML (N) MPA Rana Jamil criticized the Supreme Court for taking back the security of important persons, saying the Chief Justice of Pakistan will be responsible if anything happens to him or his family.
PTI MPA Mian Aslam Iqbal criticized the government for passing Regularization of Service Bill in order to regularise their workers. While responding to opposition's criticism, Law Minister Rana Sanaullah said it is the practice of the opposition to condemn every action of the government taken in favour of the people. He said only those people will be regularized who are working for four years and seat will be vacant in their department.
Earlier, The Explosives Substances (Punjab Amendment Bill) 2018, The Punjab Witness Protection Bill 2018, The Punjab Government Servant's Housing Foundation (Amendment) Bill 2018, The Registration (Punjab Second Amendment) Bill 2018, The Punjab Fisheries (Amendment) Bill 2018, The Punjab Bonded Labour System (Abolition) Bill 2018 and The Punjab Agriculture Marketing Regulatory Authority Bill 2018 were tabled in the house. After completion of the agenda, the Speaker adjourned the session till 2pm on Monday.
