Miftah optimistic about budget's approval by Parliament

Federal Finance Minister Miftah Ismail told Aaj News after presenting budget 2018-17 that they (incumbent government) would manage to get fiscal budget approved by the Parliament. Aaj News was the first TV channel whom Miftah talked after presenting financial budget in the Parliament. He made clear he had his own policy and had nothing to do with the policy of ex-finance minister Ishaq Dar.
"No prediction can be made on dollar's value," he said. He further said that no new tax was imposed in the budget while 80 percent of the development budget was allocated for already initiated projects. Miftah hails from Karachi and his announcement of Rs 25 billion Special Package for Karachi and desalination plant for sea water in this port city was accorded warm welcome.
