Hot and dry weather with temperature scaling up to 38 degrees Celsius scorched the metropolis on Saturday, as the Met Office forecast the heatwaves for another two days. With a hot and dry weather, the city's temperature is expected to soar to 40 degrees Celsius on Sunday and Monday. Humidity level is likely to drop further to 55 percent to increase the dryness in atmosphere on April 22 and April 23, according to the forecaster on Saturday.
Mithi, Turbat and Sibbi sizzled with 40 degrees Celsius, each, followed by Mirpurkhas and Chhor 39, each during the day. Mercury level touched 38.2 degrees Celsius in Nawabshah, 37.5 in Thatta and 37 in Hyderabad with 36, each, in Padidan, Sukrand and Rohri, 35.4 in Dadu and 35 each in Moen-Jo-Daro and Larkana.
In the next 24 hours: The country's most parts are expected to undergo a hot and dry weather. Rawalakot received 46 mm of rainfall, Peshawar Airport 14 mm, Bunji (Gilgit-Baltistan) 9 mm, Joharabad and Kakul 8 mm, each, Dir 7 mm, Chillas 6 mm and Hunza 5 mm in the last 24 hours. Temperature may scale up to a maximum level of 42 degrees Celsius on Sunday in Shaheed Benazirabad, Sanghar and Noshahro Feroze; 41 in Umerkot, Tharparkar, Hyderabad, Tando Allah Yar, Tando Muhammad Khan, Jamshoro and Mityari.
Mercury level is also likely to grow to 40 degrees Celsius in Sukkur, Ghotki, Khairpur, Larkana, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Thatta, Badin, Sujawal, Kashmore, Qambar Shahdadkot and Dadu.
