Sindh High Court (SHC) restrained National Accountability Bureau (NAB) from arresting Secretary Local Government Sindh Ramzan Awan and approved his protective bail on Saturday. Secretary Local Government Sindh moved SHC following the arrest of his personal Secretary Ramzan Solangi after NAB recovered millions of cash in local and foreign currency and other valuables from his possession couple of days back.
Secretary Local Government feared arrest after NAB arrested his assistant, counsel of Ramzan Awan submitted in the court and pleaded NAB should be restrained from arresting him Court issued notices to NAB seeking reply in this case and approved the protective bail of Secretary Local Government Sindh.
Ramzan Awan's lawyer Barrister Haq Nawaz Talpur informed the court that his client is ready to cooperate with NAB, which is interrogating his assistant and pleaded that his client should not be arrested. The charges of corruption have been framed on my client in the remand documents of Ramzan Solgani whereas he has nothing to do with the large sum of cash recovered from the accused. Ramzan Solangi is on physical remand after he was arrested by NAB on large sum of money he possessed, which is allegedly beyond his known means of income.
