Pakistani surgeons conduct operation of brain tumour without anaesthesia
A team of Pakistani surgeons has achieved a breakthrough as they successfully conducted operation of brain tumour without giving anaesthesia to the patient. After the operation, the condition of patient Muhammad Hassan is stable. Professor of Neuro Surgery Dr Khalid Mehmood and his team conducted successful operation of brain tumour without giving anaesthesia to the patient.
Health professionals declared this development as a landmark achievement in the health sector. They termed it another achievement after operation of complicated brain tumour through nose. Special attention is being paid for improving the healthcare facilities in government hospitals besides providing high-quality medicines free of cost to the patients.
Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has congratulated Professor of Neuro Surgery Dr Khalid Mehmood and his team for this successful operation. He further mentioned that young doctors and other hospitals should benefit from this latest research of Neuro Department of General Hospital. Shahbaz said the Punjab government has taken concrete steps for developing the health sector on modern lines. He said patients are getting benefits from the modern reforms introduced in health sector.
