Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif Friday said that the trial of former President General Pervez Musharraf (retd) will reach its logical conclusion. Replying to a question regarding dissolution of a Special Court bench hearing the treason case against Musharraf, Sharif said that "such things do happen in such cases". Talking to reporters informally inside the Accountability Court hearing corruption cases against him and his family members, Sharif said that he knew one thing that trial against Musharraf will reach its logical conclusion. Musharraf may stay away from proceedings of the case but one day he will have to appear before the court in the case, he further said. Sharif said now accountability of all will be conducted.
He said if Chief Justice Saqib Nisar has used the words "faryadi or supplicant" then he should stick to it. Sharif said it does not behove CJP or anyone else to describe the PM as 'faryadi'. "It is also not appropriate to say that the Prime Minister himself came to me," he pointed out.
About the corruption references filed against him, the former Prime Minister termed them bogus. He said if there is any corruption allegation then it should be proved. Replying to a question about his sons, Sharif said Hussain Nawaz and Hasan Nawaz have never held any government office.
