On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,236. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 5.591 billion and the number of lots traded was 11,314.
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 1.924 billion, followed by WTI crude oil PKR 1.261 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 783.766 million, DJ PKR 517.991 million, silver PKR 280.714 million, SP500 PKR 279.647 million, NSDQ100 PKR 206.199 million, platinum PKR 196.063 million, copper PKR 101.699 million, natural gas PKR 21.714 million and Brent crude oil PKR 17.726 million. In agricultural commodities, 7 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 2.994 million were traded.
