KARACHI: Dozens of illegal constructions and encroachments at Shahra-e-Quaideen and Nizami Road Lines Area were removed in the district East on Thursday in pursuance to the directives of Supreme Court and DMC-East Chairman Moeed Anwar.
The operation was supervised by Director Anti-Encroachment Zahid Bin Khalil and Assistant Commissioner Ferozeabad Sajida Qazi, a press release said.
Director Anti-Encroachment Zahid Bin Khalil on the occasion said that the encroachments were being removed to ensure clearance of the roads.
Heavy machinery was being used in the operation.
He said that encroachers were being warned to not encroach on the vacated areas again else strict action would be taken against them.
