30 suspects arrested, arms recovered

Security forces on Tuesday apprehended at least 30 suspects during a targeted operation in Charsadda. As per details, on a tip off, police and security forces carried out a joint targeted operation in Charsadda and detained 30 suspects. Weapons including two Kalashnikovs, five pistols and five rifles were also recovered from those arrested during the operation. Meanwhile, the district government launched crackdown against illegal billboards and removed dozens of them near Charsadda Motorway exit.
Talking to media persons, Assistant Commissioner Talat Fahad said that the boards erected on roadsides may pose threat to human lives during storms. He said that no permission was taken from the district administration before putting up the boards and the boards were installed at such locations that could divert drivers' attention and could lead to accidents.
