LONDON: European stocks held steady at the start of trading on Friday, with London's FTSE 100 index flat at 7,040.17 points.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 firmed 0.1 percent to 11,311.66 points and the Paris CAC 40 added 0.2 percent to 5,016.45, compared with Thursday's close.
