The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Salahuddin Mehsud has said that out of the total 9 nominated persons in DI Khan incident seven have already been arrested. In a statement, he said that the FIR of the incident was registered on the same day of the occurrence of incident without any delay.
He said that seven out of nine nominated accused were arrested very next day while 8th accused was taken into custody in 48 hours of the incident. Three of the under custody accused have confessed their crime before the court while their phone were also taken into possession soon after their arrest. However, he said that during investigation and research no video was recovered from them. He dispelled the impression that some persons in the incident were not nominated.
He said that case has also been registered against the alleged three facilitators. The KP police chief said that for the satisfaction of the complainant, the Station House Officer (SHO) of the concerned police station has been transferred several days ago.
