ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has appointed Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh as Advisor to the Prime Minister on Finance, Revenue, Planning and Development, Economic Affairs and Statistics along with the status of Federal Minister, with immediate effect.
The President made the appointment in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 93 of the Constitution of Pakistan, and on the advice of the Prime Minister, a notification issued by the Cabinet Division said here on Monday.
The notification reads: "In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 93 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the President, on the advice of the Prime Minister, has been pleased to appoint, with immediate effect, Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh as Advisor to the Prime Minister on Finance, Revenue, Planning and Development, Economic Affairs and Statistics with the status of Federal Minister."
