Those who attended were included Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Fayyaz Sherpao, SSP Traffic Police, Habib Khan, SP Security Sahibzada Sajjad, Director, PDA Najeeb-ur-Rehman, Additional Assistant Commissioners (AACs), Bashmir Ahmad, Abdul Nabi, Imran Khan, Tariq Hussain, Javed Anwar Kamal, Syed Shahzeb, Nazim Town, Zahid Nadeem, Nazim Town-II Faridullah Khan, TMOs of all four towns and others.
During the meeting the Deputy Commissioner was told in detail about encroachment inside the city and it was observed that whenever, the administration conducts operation, the shopkeepers removed encroachment outside their shops, but later display them. Furthermore, it was observed that footpaths in the city had also been encroached by the mafia, which create hardships for the movement of pedestrians and resulted in traffic jam.
The DC said that the district administration in collaboration with town administration and PDA has razed all illegal signboards from across the city and particularly from the footpaths and vicinity of schools and colleges. In case of their re-installation, he said TMA and PDA administrations will be responsible for it.
