Fesco okays shifting of LT/HT lines

A meeting of Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) Board of Directors (BOD) held here at FESCO Headquarters unanimously approved the shifting of LT & HT electricity lines passing through roofs of 25 localities in area of NA-85 of MNA Haji Akram Ansari.
The meeting under the chair of Chairman Board Khurram Mukhtar was attended by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) FESCO Rashid Ahmed Aslam, Board Directors Ch. Javed Kamal, Rana Ehsan Afzal, Abdul Hameed Ch. Faiq Javed, Zahid Aslam, Company Secretary Ather Ayub Ch and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Zahid Hassan.
The estimated cost for shifting of LT/HT lines of NA-85 is about 4 million and shifting of lines would be helpful to overcome the fatal and non fatal accidents. Board also approved the bid for the construction of Rural Sub Division Lalian, Chiniot Sub Division 1 and 3. During the meeting approval was granted for purchase of circuit breakers.
Similarly, on the directives of Ministry of Water and Power, BOD approved the bifurcation of Bhakkar Division and creation of Darya Khan Division, Revenue Office and 8 new Sub Divisions. Earlier, consumers of Bhakkar Division have to visit Sub Divisional offices situated in far-flung areas for redress of complaints but after the construction new Division and Sub Divisions consumers' electricity related complaints would be solved at their door step. Board also approved the electrification of Misaq-au-Mal Plaza after payment of full cost deposit.
