At least three people were killed and four sustained injuries when a bus carrying wedding guests overturned on TakhBhai Road in Charsadda on Saturday. According to police sources, the bus was carrying people who were going to attend a wedding ceremony as it turned turtle due to over speeding near TakhBhair. As a result, three persons died while four people received injuries. Police shifted the bodies and injured to a nearby hospital.
In the meanwhile, Police and other law-enforcement agencies arrested five proclaimed offender, including 20 suspected militants, during a joint search and strike operation on Saturday. The action was carried out in the limits of Sardheri police station. Relevant official's communiqué stated that the action started at 10 pm and continued till morning. A huge cache of arms have been recovered from the hideouts of suspects.
The search operation was carried out in Wardaga, GhundaKarkana, Gul Abad, Ibrahim Zai, Dosehra and surrounding of Bacha Khan University. Personnel of the police's rapid response force and elite force, army, bomb disposal squad, women police, anti-terrorist squad and sniffer-dogs participated in the operation.
