The city police, rangers and other security agencies on Saturday conducted search operation in various parts of Islamabad and arrested 53 suspected persons. A police official said that the law enforcement agencies (LEA) conducted search operation in Faizabad and various areas of Sabzi Mandi as well as Noon police stations and nabbed 53 suspects including 4 Afghan nationals.
He said that search operation was conducted under supervision of SP (Industrial Area) Muhammad Hassan and police, rangers searched several houses and bus stands were screened. During the operation police and rangers also recovered 1400 gram hashish from a suspect identified as Kabeer while weapons and ammunition were also recovered from others. The nabbed persons have been shifted to relevant police stations for investigation.
