Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Sirajul Haq on Sunday said that only corruption was prevalent in the country, saying that rulers are voted to power to serve the masses not to rule them.
Addressing a public meeting in Karak district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sirajul Haq said that the resources of the country had been taken over by looters and a particular group, adding that the country could not progress until getting rid of the looter and the 'qabza group'.
JI chief said that the Jamaat-e-Islami had the potential to bring Islamic revolution in the country, saying that Islamic system based on justice and equality was the solution of our all problems.
Haq pledged that if voted to power the JI would not stash the public exchequers in offshore accounts rather would serve masses.
Addressing the meeting, JI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief Mushtaq Ahmed Khan said that the JI wanted Pakistan to be as per the visions of Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Muhammad Iqbal. He added that the country had been taken over by the financial terrorists.
Meanwhile, the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Bajaur Agency chapter launched 'Go FCR Go' campaign on Saturday.
A rally and walk in this connection were organised in Barang area which was addressed by the JI Bajaur Agency Ameer Haji Sardar Khan and other leaders.
The speakers said the tribal people have been deprived of their basic rights under the Frontier Crimes Regulation (FCR) law. They said the FCR was main reason behind unending corruption in Fata.
The speakers said rallies and walks will be held against the FCR in all parts of Bajaur Agency and a grand rally will be held in Khar, the main town of Bajaur, on 16 February. The protesters demanded merger of Fata with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and initiation of Barang Tunnel and Degree College projects.
