First coal freight train leaves for Sahiwal power plant

The first coal freight train of Pakistan Railways departed from Karachi to coal terminal of Sahiwal Coal-fired Power Plant on Sunday. According to an official of Pakistan Railways, the newly-inducted locomotives are operating that freight train, which has imported from United States last week.
It may be recalled that Sahiwal coal-fired power plant will generate 1320 megawatts electricity and it has been connected to the national grid station.
