The 45th batch of volunteers comprising 250 students on Saturday concluded their training, arranged by Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT) in the field of community services and medical care. Speaking on the occasion, Professor Anwar Naqvi said that the program was designed to help the students learn and understand the problems and sufferings faced by fellow human beings which not only brought a positive change in their outlook in life but was also beneficial for the entire society.
Director SIUT, Professor Adibul Hasan Rizvi said that for the past 10 years, SIUT had been organising student volunteer programs, which were a regular feature of the Institute which attracted students from various high school and college level educational institutions of Karachi who came to acquire training in the field of community services, first aid and basic medical care.
