Heavy fog disrupts life in Lahore

A heavily dense fog crippled life all across the board resulting into delay in flights, closing down of motorway for traffic and a long spell of power outage due to the environmental impact on the transmission lines. The visibility was reported as zero in various parts of the city that forced the motorway police to suspend traffic motorway while the National Highway Police grouped transports on the highway before departing to their destinations.
The motorway police instructed the citizens to avoid unnecessary travelling and keep fog lights on while plying on roads. On the other hand, the flight operation at the Lahore airport was suspended due to heavy fog besides cancellation of many flights while diversion of many to other destinations. The visibility was limited to 50 meters at the airport, which resulted into suspension of flight operations. The met office has predicted continuity of dry weather and fog spell for another few days.
