Pakistan Muslim League-N (USA) President Rohail Dar has said that completion of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will make Pakistan self-reliant and also boost businesses in shape of establishment of new industries around it. He said that its completion will reduce the time for freight transportation between Shanghai and Gwadar by 82 percent thus reducing expenses.
Rohail Dar was addressing at a reception arranged in honour of Pakistan Poultry Association (PPA) Secretary General Major Syed Javed Hussain Bokhari (Retd), according to information reached here on Friday. PML-N USA Secretary Information Syed Anwer Wasti, Chief Co-ordinator Afzal Butt and President PML-N New York States Ahmad Jan were also present on this occasion.
Rohail claimed that effects of PML-N economic policies had started reaching to the common man. Projects being under taken in energy sector would lead to end of load-shedding next year. Syed Anwer Wasti speaking on this occasion hoped that these projects would not only produce electricity in abundance for the industrial and domestic and that too on cheaper rates.
The government was setting up power plants fired by gas having capacity of producing 3600 megawatt while Nepra has also brought down the electricity tariff from Rs 10.30 per unit to 6.30 per unit. Other speakers including Afzal Butt and Ahmad Jan stressed the need for arranging industrial exhibitions around the globe to search new markets for Pakistani products.
