Balochistan-based Senators and provincial ministers have demanded imposition of a ban on the hunting of houbara bustard in the province. Aaj News reported on Monday that the demand was made at a joint press conference by Senators Sardar Fateh Mohammad Hasani and Kabeer Mohammad Shahi and the provincial ministers Nawab Mohammad Khan Sahhwani and Mir Mujeebur Rehman Hasani. Tribal notables accompanying them also endorsed the demand. They said that federal government had permitted Qatari princes to hunt houbara bustard in Balochistan on a large scale that had evoked grave concern among people of the province.
