Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) organised a function here Friday to express solidarity with the Christian community on the eve of Christmas. The function was attended among others by President Cantonment Board Brigadier Syed Hassan Raza, Cantonment Executive Officer, Dr Saima Shah, Vice President, RCB Malik Munir Ahmed, members of the Board, heads of various departments and sanitation staff.
The Station Commander felicitated the sanitation staff on success of cleanliness week saying all staffers had played an important role to make the campaign a success. Dr Saima Shah addressing the participants appreciated efforts of the staffers made for cleanliness of Cantt area. VP RCB expressed gratitude for Dr Saima Shah who is striving for clean environment in areas falling in RCB jurisdiction, adding the residents and public representatives were appreciating the efforts. A Christmas cake was also cut at the end of the function while the Christian community was facilitated on the eve of Christmas.
