KHANPUR: The PPP-led government is endeavouring to provide all the basic facilities to people across the country and has taken solid steps in this regard.
This was stated by MPA Mian Muhammad Aslam of PPP while talking to APP here on Thursday. He said that the government has come out from all crises under the able leadership of President Asif Ali Zardari and Premier Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani.
He categorically stated that the next general elections would be held in 2013 and opposition's "hue and cry" to hold elections during current year would be useless.
Criticising Punjab government over medicines issue and deaths due to sub-standard medicines he said that Punjab government had administratively failed in the entire province.
He alleged that Punjab rulers were victimizing PPP legislators and had given their (PPP MPAs) development funds amounting to Rs 350 million to MPAs belonging to PML-N and PML (functional).
"A record number of development schemes have been completed in my constituency", Mian Aslam said and expressed with confidence that he would succeed in the next elections on the basis of his performance. He said that the vote bank of PPP is strongly intact and asserted that the voters and party workers have complete confidence on the party leadership.
