"It is indeed a matter of great pleasure to welcome all of you as newly elected and outgoing Cabinet," said Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamli while talking to the body of outgoing members of Supreme Court Bar Association headed by Ali Zafar Syed and newly elected body of Supreme Court Bar Association headed by its President Rasheed A Rizvi, who called on CJP on Friday in Supreme Court, Islamabad.
His lordship further added that Bench and Bar were integral part of judicial system therefore, it was incumbent upon both of them to address legal needs and expectations of litigant parties by providing speedy justice to them. Bidding farewell to outgoing SCBA President Ali Zafar Syed and his cabinet members, the CJP praised the services rendered by them and said the Supreme Court Bar Association under Ali Zafar Syed performed very well. All the members of his cabinet played their role devotedly and wholeheartedly for the cause of dispensation of justice.
Felicitating the newly elected SCBA President Rasheed A Rizvi and his cabinet, CJP welcomed the Bar and said he had cordial relationship with the Bar and he would be extending full cooperation to the Bar for strengthening the institution of judiciary.
Outgoing President Ali Zafar Syed also appreciated his lordship's contribution for the cause of administration of justice. President, newly elected Cabinet of Supreme Court Bar Association, Rasheed A Rizvi said he and his Cabinet would extend full cooperation to strengthen the institution by supporting rule of law and independence of judiciary. At the end of meeting, CJP presented shield to the outgoing cabinet members as token of respect and gesture of goodwill.-PR
