Indian diplomat summoned

Pakistan on Tuesday summoned top Indian diplomat and lodged a strong protest over the killing of three civilians and injuries to four others as a result of the continued unprovoked firing by Indian forces on the Line of Control (LoC). According to Foreign Office spokesperson Nafees Zakaria, Indian Deputy High Commissioner J.P. Singh was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by Director General South Asia and SAARC Dr Mohammad Faisal.
He said that a strong protest was lodged with him and condemned the unprovoked cease-fire violations on November 07, 2016 by the Indian forces on the LoC in Nikial and Jandrot sectors, resulting in killing of three civilians, including a woman and injuries to four others, including a five years old boy.
He said that the Director General urged the Indian side to respect the 2003 Cease-fire Understanding; investigate the continued incidents of cease-fire violations; instruct the Indian forces to respect the cease-fire, in letter and in spirit, stop targeting the villages and civilians and maintain peace on the LoC. Earlier, an ISPR spokesman said in a statement that three civilians, including two women, were killed in unprovoked firing by Indian troops at Khoi Ratta and Battal sectors of the LoC on Tuesday. It stated that one person was killed in Khoi Ratta Sector, while two women, Kalsoom and her daughter Amina, in Mandol village were also killed in result of the unprovoked firings by the Indian troops.
