NA panel approves two bills

National Assembly Standing Committee on Human Rights Tuesday approved two bills unanimously with some amendments while deferred another for further discussion. The meeting of the committee was held at Committee Room of Ministry of Human Rights under the chair of MNA Babar Nawaz Khan.
The committee members considered, "The Women in Distress and Detention Fund (Amendment) Bill, 2016" (Amendment of section 6, Act XV of 1996), a Government Bill," and after a thorough discussion on it unanimously recommended that the bill may be passed with certain amendments therein. The committee members also considered reviewing the existing law of Human Organ Transplant Authority and after thorough discussion on the bill unanimously recommended that it may be passed by the Parliament with certain amendments therein. "The Protection of Minorities Bill, 2016" moved by MNA Sanjay Pervani also came under discussion, but the committee members deferred it for further discussion.
