A sub-committee of Public Accounts Committee (PAC) on Monday deferred discussion on audit reports of finance ministry for 2002-03 in anger after the finance secretary could not turn up in the meeting. The committee headed by Naveed Qamar deferred the audit reports of the ministry when Secretary Finance could not come to the meeting.
In his ruling, the convener of sub-committee expressed his utter displeasure and directed the PAC Secretariat to write letter to Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah, the opposition leader in National Assembly, who is also chairman PAC, for taking appropriate action against the principal accounting officer (PAO).
