Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development & Management Company (KPEZDMC) is delivering its promises as the construction of infrastructure of the Hattar Special Economic Zone (HSEZ) is in final stages. The Company held the groundbreaking ceremony of HSEZ in December 2015 with Chief Minister KP as the chief guest.
In just 10 months the Company has completed 60-70 percent of infrastructure development. In this short span of time the Company is in process of completing roads network, water supply system, grid station, external electrification and waste water treatment plant.
Along with basic infrastructure development activities in the HSEZ, KPEZDMC is also working towards the rehabilitation and improvement of the present infrastructure of the Old Hattar Industrial Estate under the supervision of well-known industrialists.
To solve the problem of environmental hazards created by the industries in the Old Hattar Industrial Estate, the Company has installed radio frequency environmental sensor devices that monitor environment on 24-hour basis. Environmental compliance if applicable is implemented under the prevailing Environment Protection Agency laws. This model with improved features will also be replicated in the HSEZ.In record period of time, KPEZDMC has handed over the possession of plots to 30 industrialists (110 acres out of 316 acres) at HSEZ, hailing from diverse sectors including engineering, packaging, food, marble & granite, steel, food process & packaging, mineral grinding, electronics, pharmaceuticals, chemical, plastic and warehousing. These industrialists have been carefully selected on the basis of their feasibility and ability to start production in maximum period of two years.
The Company recently signed MoUs with companies hailing from China, Saudi Arabia, Middle East, Europe and Pakistan investing in the Economic Zone.
