Former premier Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that the PPP had advised the government and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to agree to the Terms of Reference (TORs) of the investigation of Panama Leaks.
The PPP stalwart was talking to media on Wednesday in Multan. He said that Pakistan People's Party (PPP) chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had urged the acceptance of the TORs. "I wish all political parties would have agreed to it," Gillani said.
Gillani said, "We didn't call for Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's resignation. Our only demand was the acceptance of the TORs."
The PPP leader went on to say that Bilawal called for Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan's resignation as the National Action Plan was not being implemented properly. "I am a democrat. I accepted the court's verdict and went back to home. I have forgot what happened to me. I didn't want the confrontation of the state institutions," Gillani further said. "PPP founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto had prepared the constitution of Pakistan and I restored it," he said.
