KARACHI: Court proceedings at Sindh High Court, city courts and Malir District Courts remained suspended on Tuesday as the legal fraternity observed strike in protest against the triple murder of lawyers.
The strike call was given by the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA), Sindh High Court Bar Association (SHCBA), Karachi Bar Association (KBA) and Malir District Bar Association (MDBA) in protest of killing of their three colleagues here on Wednesday.
The members of KBA held protest meeting and organized sit-in at M.A.Jinnah Road.
They condemned the killings and demanded immediate arrest of the culprits. They also demanded of the government to provide security to the lawyers.
The members of Malir District Bar Association also condemned the incident and boycotted the proceedings of the courts and held a sit-in at National Highway.
