Strong earthquake shocks were felt in several parts of country, including Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, Malakand, Mansehra, Haripur and Abbottabad, here on Friday at around 2.07 pm. According to Meteorological department, the magnitude of earthquake was recorded to be 5.9 at Richter scale. The epicentre of earthquake was 232km deep in Badakhshan area of Afghanistan-Tajikistan border. People came out from houses and offices. However, there are no reports of any losses to lives or property in the earthquake.
