Inspector General of Police Sindh, Ghulam Hyder Jamali has directed the concerned police officials to facilitate citizens seeking driving license for the first time or renewal of the same. Responding to complaints about difficulties faced by the drivers approaching license centres in the metropolis, he said urgent measures must be adopted to improve the working of these public utility centres.
Jamali said keeping in view the problems faced by the citizens in procuring driving license, the scheduled campaign against violators of traffic rules, including those found driving without license, has been extended for a month. He said, this does not mean in any way that violation of traffic rules would not be checked, however, it would be ensured that action against violators does not in any manner by-pass the law itself. He said optimum public support is needed for campaigns meant to benefit masses themselves.
