Two power towers of high transmission lines were blown up with an explosive material on Monday, leaving several cities including Quetta. According to security sources, some unidentified miscreants planted explosive devices at two power towers of high transmission line in Aab-e-gam area of Sibi that went off with a big bang, destroying the towers.
In the result of destroying power towers, the electricity supplying to various cities of Balochistan including Quetta has been suspended for several hours and repairing work on damage towers has been started by authority for restoring electricity to the affected areas.
