The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday sought reply from the federal government by October 6 in a number of petitions praying to quash FIRs registered by Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) under Copyright Act. The petitioners pointed out that FIA was carrying on its proceedings under Copyright Act while the board was not constituted.
They said how the FIA could carry on its proceedings when the board was not constituted. The court seeking reply from the government expressed surprise and observed that how FIA could carry on its proceedings under Copyright Act if the relevant board had not been constituted.
