MUMBAI: India's central bank kept interest rates unchanged on Tuesday, judging it too early to begin lowering them despite concerns over slowing growth in Asia's third-largest economy.
The Reserve Bank of India also announced a cut in the cash reserve ratio by 50 basis points, however, which will reduce the amount of cash that banks need to hold and will boost liquidity in the financial system.
