Certificates distributed: 'work on draft labour policy continuing'

Provincial Minister for Women Development Hameeda Waheed-ud-Din has said that domestic workers are playing an important role in strengthening the economy and development of the country. She said this while addressing certificates distribution ceremony among domestic workers who completed their training with the collaboration of ILO and Women Development Department Punjab at APWA Headquarters, here on Saturday.
Chairperson APWA Mrs Romi Syed, representative of ILO Hasan Rizvi, Mukhtar Awan and other were also present. Hameeda Waheed ud Din said women completing their training under ILO Convention could earn their livelihood honourably, adding the work on draft labour policy was continuing which would be given final shape after consultation with stakeholders.
