Not job of ISI to provide security: Rehman Malik

KARACHI: Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik said Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) is an institution and providing security does not come under its purview, according to the media on Saturday.

He, however, said that security will be provided to Mansoor Ijaz on his arrival to Pakistan but added that no assurance can be given on him not being arrested.

Earlier, the Pakistani-American businessman said that the Commission cannot summon him in the “memogate” scandal case as he is not a Pakistani.

Ijaz was summoned by the judicial commission probing the case on January 26 and was expected on January 24 in the country.
