Sindh Board of Investment (SBI) have an objective to develop and promote an investment friendly environment to boost economic activity, bring value addition to all sectors of economy and encourage public private partnership for socio-economic development of Pakistan in general and Sindh in particular. It also aims to focus on ignored but high potential sectors of economy.
In pursuance of above mentioned objectives, SBI organized a mega event Livestock, Dairy, Fisheries, Poultry & Agriculture (LDFA) Seminar & Exhibition consecutively from 2011 to 2014. It was aimed to promote these highly potential sectors of economy. It is pertinent to mention here that all four editions of LDFA were a profound success whereby more than one million visitors attended the event, around 500 exhibitors' participated and business deals worth Rupees one billion were materialised. The event has now become signature event for the Government of Sindh in general and Sindh Board of Investment in particular.
Strengthened by the overwhelming success of LDFAs the Government of Sindh through Sindh Board of Investment is scheduling to hold 5th edition of this successful festivity. The event is scheduled to be held on 30th & 31st May, 2015 at Expo Centre Karachi promising more rewarding opportunities for its foreign and domestic visitors and exhibitors.
A large number of decision-makers from the public and private sectors as well as from the diplomatic missions, multilateral agencies and academia are also expected to attend the event.
OBJECTIVES OF THE EVENT
-- To engage the financial institutions and investors for the establishment, strengthening and promotion of these sectors;
-- To exhibit modern research, tools and techniques among growers and farmers in the areas of Agriculture, Livestock, Dairy, Poultry and Fisheries;

-- To bring the Government of Sindh and the Investors on one single platform, to work towards the establishment and promotion of these sectors;

-- To position Sindh as an economically viable province by identifying the areas/locations for investment in these sectors;
-- To produce exportable surplus by bringing in efficiency and technology in the entire value addition and chain of these sectors;
-- Focus on the export potential of these sectors;
-- Indentify different stakeholders in the industry, exploring different international markets.
